Hi, I’m Kanika Inglett, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, working with children, teens, adults, and couples.
My work is grounded in an attachment-based perspective, with the understanding that our earliest relationships often shape how we experience safety, connection, and self-worth throughout life. In therapy, I help clients explore these patterns with curiosity, compassion, and care—creating space for meaningful insight, healing, and change. I believe one of the most courageous things we can do is allow ourselves to truly know who we are.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation call to answer questions and help determine whether we are a good fit before beginning therapy. Finding the right therapeutic connection matters, and I want you to feel comfortable in that process.
More About Kanika Inglett, M.A., LMHC, EMDR Therapist
Originally from India, I came to the United States nearly 30 years ago to pursue higher education. I began my professional journey in science and academia, earning a PhD in Environmental Microbiology and spending over two decades teaching, mentoring, and conducting research.
While I valued this work, I found myself continually drawn to the emotional and personal stories behind the people I worked with—many of whom were navigating anxiety, depression, self-doubt, relational struggles, and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences. Over time, I came to see how deeply emotional wounds can shape identity, relationships, and a sense of purpose.
That realization led me to a new calling in counseling. I returned to graduate school to earn a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and transitioned into my second career as a therapist.
My Christian faith is an important part of my life and serves as a steady source of strength, hope, and grounding. I believe each person is created with inherent worth and purpose, and I am continually humbled by the resilience and courage I witness in the individuals I work with.
Outside of my work, I enjoy reading, spending time in nature, camping, traveling, and making fun memories with my husband and son. I find meaning in simple moments—quiet conversations, time outdoors, and reflecting on God’s faithfulness in everyday life.
It is a privilege to be invited into people’s stories, and I would be honored to walk alongside you in yours.
My Approach
I believe therapy is most effective when it feels safe, grounded, and deeply human.
My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, built on the belief that healing happens within a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I work alongside clients to clarify goals, deepen insight, and support meaningful emotional and relational change.

Faith integration is always guided by your comfort and preferences.
