Premarital
Counseling
All our counselors and interns are equipped to provide premarital counseling. Two of our licensed counselors, both seasoned through years of marriage, have a particular passion for helping to prepare couples for marital success:
Jason Owenby, in his years of pastoral ministry, became adept at preparing couples for marriage—and often performed their ceremonies. Now, as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Jason brings a further richness of insight to what couples need to consider and work through to launch their marriage on solid footing.
Also entering the counseling field as a second career, Kanika Inglett, a former professor of microbiology, draws from her background studying internal and ecological systems to attune to the science behind healthy communication and attachment dynamics--crucial understandings for forming a strong marital bond.
So, whether you are young and in love or beginning anew and understand from past experiences that successful relationships require work, it is crucial to embark on marriage with reasonable expectations and a mindset of growth. Premarital counseling can help you do that.
